And the beat goes on
Make my jingle (intro/outro/midroll ad)
Something catchy...
“Jingles” are something most podcasts will require either for an intro, outro or some type of advertisement. Ads can be placed at the start of the pod rather than in the middle if that is something you want to do. I personally think ads are annoying in podcasts and I would avoid them, but this is a personal opinion - I should preface that comment with, if your brand's podcast is being sponsored then good on you for getting that revenue, that ad placement is well earned!
Sound aficionado
Music for your podcast should be royalty-free music. I use Epidemic Sound, but there are dozens of great platforms for this purpose. If you do not use royalty-free music you risk getting into hot water later (YouTube will also ding you for using music that is not your own or without a license). The other aspect to good jingles is that final mix needs to have the correct ratio of voice volume to music volume, as in, the music should not be so loud that it detracts from the actual voice message!
The process
Essentially, if you need a jingle, the process is pretty simple. You send the voice recording, it will be edited to make sure it sounds great. Then you choose the music genre and choose the track you like from the provided options I send you (we can do this as much as you like until you get the perfect music track for you), I then mix the two together, and voilà... you have your jingle. I can send the file separately or load it onto your finished pod and send it back to you.
